Present in Africa since 2012, S.E.C. has had the opportunity to make several findings:

1. Some African countries have the best solar radiation resources in the world.
2. Developing electricity distribution networks to supply remote sites or to reinforce urban areas that are already equipped is expensive and time-consuming.
3. Thermal power (i.e. the installation of power generators) has too many issues: high maintenance costs, the cost of frequent equipment replacement, high operating costs linked to oil prices, fuel supply disruptions, etc.
4. Access to electricity is necessary for economic and social development: daily life, education, health, safety, security, communications, access to the media, the development of small businesses, trade, agriculture, industry, business..
