self-production

Since 2017, businesses and local authorities have been able to produce and consume their own electricity. These new measures are in line with the French Energy Transition Act. We can assist you in this process, by designing and installing your own energy production system.

We install solar panels on an available surface area that is not used for your operations, such as a roof, parking area or plot of land. The energy produced passes through an inverter that is connected to your meter and is deducted from your consumption by your usual electricity supplier. To improve the system’s output or provide night time consumption, it is possible to store part of the energy produced using batteries.

By installing photovoltaic energy production, you freeze the cost of your kwh for the part you produce for 25 years, which is the average lifetime of a photovoltaic power plant. The photovoltaic energy cost price is estimated at about 5 cents per kWh over the lifetime of the plant, compared to an average energy cost of between 11 and 17 cents per kWh today for a business, depending on its level of annual consumption from its supplier.

You can also use self-production as a means of communication to demonstrate your willingness to engage in more environmentally friendly production of goods or services. You thereby satisfy the aspirations of your customers, who are increasingly attentive to companies that voluntarily take their Corporate Social Responsibility into account.

Finally, the installation of a photovoltaic power plant will make your building “greener”, which will allow you, in the event of a resale, to extend your potential range of buyers to all those looking for BBC or HQE buildings.
